My dog has just finished the Rock Star Program. Now what?
On completion of our board n’ train programs your dog will have a very solid foundation of the skills listed on the program. Your job is to be consistent and maintain these skills. We offer free ongoing follow up classes monthly to help you maintain the skills that have been tau
How do your training programs help my specific dog?
Our training systems are customized to each individual dog. We take into account the dog’s size, age and temperament.
What types of training programs do you offer?
We have a variety of training programs, including pet obedience, AKC show obedience, behavior modification, personal protection and sports training. Our sports training programs include agility, competition obedience, rally and IPO/Schutzhund.
What kind of field trips are included in the Rock Star Dog program?
Field trip locations may include pet-friendly stores like pet stores, banks and home stores; off-leash hikes; city walks with busy pedestrian traffic; and the Walkway Over the Hudson.
How long are your agility classes?
Our agility classes are 55 minutes long.
Uh oh, I missed a class. Now what?
You can make up an agility class if there is an opening in another agility class within three weeks. Call us at (518) 821-2023 to ask about openings. We don’t offer makeups for our non-agility classes.
What happens if I can’t make it to my private lesson?
If you cancel with less than 24-hour notice, you’ll be charged 50% of the total cost of the lesson. No-shows are charged the total cost of the lesson.
What happens if the weather’s bad during the winter?
If you cancel a class due to inclement weather, we’ll schedule a makeup class in an alternate time slot so that it doesn’t interfere with your normal class time.
What’s your facility like?
Our 4,000-square-foot indoor facility is heated with a dirt floor. This kind of fl;oor protects your dog from injury because slippery or harsh surfaces can be rough on a dog’s joints.
Do you offer ring rental?
Ring rentals are available for for $30 per hour. Current D.O.G. clients receive a discounted rate of $25 per hour. The rate for instructors is either $30 per hour or 25% of teaching fees, whichever is greater.
Are there any additional fees?
If specific training equipment is required, like a specialty training collar, you will need to purchase the equipment separately for the Polite, Reliable and Incredible programs. Our Rock Star program includes all necessary equipment.
